The Evolution of the Club

The journey of Adana ASKİ SK began in 2000 in Ceyhan, where it was established by the Ceyhan Municipality under the name Ceyhan Belediyespor. Interestingly, the club's first athletic branch was wrestling; however, the women's basketball team was formed just one year later.

The basketball program saw immediate success. During its debut year in the 2nd Division of the TKBL (Turkish Basketball League), Ceyhan Belediyespor achieved promotion to the 1st Division without losing a single game. This momentum carried them through 12 consecutive years of competition at the top flight of Turkish basketball.

A significant turning point occurred in 2014 when the club was acquired by the Water and Sanitary Management Department of the Adana Metropolitan Municipality. Following this transition and the consolidation of Tarsus Belediye into the organization, the club was renamed Adana ASKİ.
